No, our organization is open to everyone of any race/background/identity! As long as you care about and want to enrich the APIDA community, you are welcome!

Yes, but they are excluded from voting and running for an executive board position.
Nope! All of our events are free and open to everyone!
Nope! Everyone is free to pick and choose which events they would like to attend. However, there are many benefits to becoming an active member!
1) Active members must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours at the University of Missouri. 2) Attend at least 40% of our events over the course of the Fall & Spring semesters! If you join during either the fall or spring semester, you must attend at least 40% of the events from the entire academic year to gain the benefits of being an active member. Read the benefits below!

1) Active members are allowed to run for elected officer positions for the following school year.
2) Active members are allowed to vote for elected officers and any Constitution amendments during the spring semester.
GBMs are held every third Thursday at 7 PM! Know when & where the next meeting is coming up by checking our Instagram or Google Calendar.

Yes! We have service, social, and programming events, as well. Service events will entail volunteering to help out a charitable organization of some sort, social events usually involve mixing and mingling with one another through food, movies, and many other things, programming events include but are not limited to banquets and Taste of Asia.

We try to discuss whatever is relevant to the community at the time, but in the past we've covered media representation, politics, intersectionality, culture, and many other topics!

The organization is what you make of it! There are plenty chances to get involved by volunteering for our different events. You can also apply for the executive board at the end of spring semester!
