ASIAN AMERICAN ASSOCIATION
umbrella organizations
Asian christian
fellowship
ACF is a fellowship of students who want to explore how the Asian American experience allows us to encounter God of the Bible in a way that a Westernized Christianity often neglects.
In 2006, Christian and non-Christian students from AAA noticed racial and religious barriers to learning about God as a non-Christian Asian American. After 8 students crammed into a small room at University Place to talk about the unique experience/obstacles of being Asian American and Christian, ACF was formed.
During this COVID season we are focusing on God’s rest to simply exist in who we are, which is imperfect, but everchanging and forever unconditionally loved. Join ACF as we learn about God through an Asian American lens through (all virtual) large group discussions, small group Bible studies, ACF Buddies, and more. The Asian American community is a gift to our communities when we learn to rest.

As Alpha Phi Gamma一Eta Chapter we seek to provide Asian Awareness to the University of Missouri campus and its surrounding community for the betterment of society. Our organization is Asian-interest but not Asian exclusive and founded in the values of Sxsterhood, academic excellence, personal development, and leadership. We pride ourselves on creating opportunities for our Sxsters and an environment that focuses on philanthropy, community building, and cultural advocacy. In consideration of everyone’s health and safety during COVID-19, we will be holding events virtually. If you would like to learn more about our organization or to fill out an interest form, please contact Anna Chen and Emily Oba at aphigmizzou.recruitment@gmail.com
kappa pi beta
Kappa Pi Beta Fraternity is a premier Asian American-founded, service, and social fraternity dedicated to the needs of the community. Kappa Pi Beta is an Asian interest but not asian-exclusive fraternity. Through progressive values and allyship, Kappa Pi Beta Fraternity, Inc. supports all marginalized groups. We proactively seek to defy the stereotypes of the typical fraternity and create a space to support our communities.
With the commitment to higher learning, Kappa Pi Beta Fraternity, Inc. promotes the traditional Asian values of respect and discipline, and the overall essence of unity among all people from different backgrounds.
Along with the life-long relationships that are built, we promote academic excellence, brotherhood, cultural awareness, social mobility, philanthropy, gentlemen values, leadership, and respect towards the individuals and communities we support.
With opportunities for travel across the nation, conferences and retreats, Kappa Pi Beta seeks to personally and professionally develop our members. KPiB offers leadership development through workshops, networking and collaboration with professionals. We give our members a chance to grow into better men than they were before.
There is a widespread brotherhood throughout 5 chapters in the midwest region. The brotherhood bond is stronger and closer due to small intake of members. Dues are much lower compared to other fraternities on campus.

FILIPINo STUDENT
ASSOCIATION
The members of the Filipino Student Association (FSA) strive to unite students of all backgrounds to promote campus awareness and understanding of Filipino culture, history, and current issues at the University of Missouri. Our purpose is to build a harmonious, hospitable community, as family is the basic and most important aspect of FIlipino culture. This semester, FSA will be focusing on rebranding from FASA on social media as well as transitioning to a new executive board. We will be connecting with other FSA organizations from various universities to expand our relationships. FSA will be working with AAA to collaborate on an event for the semester, so keep an eye out!
PAMHAC
We are the Pan-Asian Mental Health Advocacy Coalition (PAMHAC). We are a new organization dedicated to educating the Mizzou community of how mental health affects its students, specifically the Asian, Pacific Islander and Desi Americans (APIDA) community. We also aim to provide support and a safe space to our APIDA community and anyone else who is interested in mental health advocacy and recovery. While plans have shifted because of COVID, we are still committed to supporting others struggling with their mental health and dismantle the stigma surrounding it, through providing resources and programming related to education, self-care and community. We hope to see you (virtually) at our events, and we hope you know that you are loved and not alone.

SOUTH ASIAN STUDENTS ASSOCIATION
South Asian Students Association was formed by a small group of undergraduate students with the intent to create an environment for all South Asian students to feel at home. Since our formation, SASA aims to bring more cultural awareness to Mizzou’s campus so that this institution is a place where all students feel accepted and are represented. With that, our mission is to welcome people from all backgrounds and aim to promote South Asian culture for the students of MU, Stephens College, and Columbia College. We hope to attract the student body by providing them with informative and social events related to South Asia in order to enhance a greater awareness of South Asian culture among students.

Vietnamese Student Association
VSA, or the Vietnamese Student Association, is the official voice of all Vietnamese Americans at the University of Missouri. Our organization and events revolve around our five pillars: culture, advocacy, philanthropy, community, and leadership. We strive to serve Vietnamese American students by creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive community. Reflecting on our cultural heritage as well as our refugee and immigrant experiences, we aim to bring awareness to our history and issues that affect our community.
